Robotic Surgery

Dr. Yu and Dr. Ali have trained extensively in the next-generation daVinci Robotic Surgery technique to perform less invasive surgeries with greater precision and expertise. Currently it is used for hysterectomies; more procedures may be added in the future. The surgeon is in control at all times while the robot mimics the surgeon’s movements in micromovements for delicate precision. Performed at Charlton Memorial Hospital, robotic surgery is an alternative to open and laparoscopic surgeries and can result in quicker recoveries for patients.
